[edit] Wiki has been upgraded to 1.10

Wikia seem to be having some teething problems with the edit interface. It is buggy, and there are several ways you can lose everything you have typed in. Still, it is a big issue, so it will be remedied. Thankyou for your patience.

[edit] p-cactions now in div tab

I don't know all the issues, but I'd like to note that during the update a div was placed around the ul in the tab bar. So if any of your css used #p-cactions > ul then it'll half to be changed to #p-cations > div > ul that's one of the changes which I ran into issues with when it came to the tabs. ~Dantman(talk) Mar 22, 2007 @ 08:21 (UTC)

[edit] New Feature : Recent Changes page now shows the size of each edit

Special:Recentchanges and Special:Watchlist now show the number of bytes added or removed to an article to give an idea of the size of the edit. This information was previously available only in the IRC update feeds.

To disable this site-wide, set $wgRCShowChangedSize to false. (Individual users can suppress the data in custom CSS.)

Adjust $wgRCChangedSizeThreshold to trigger highlighting of particularly large changes.

The formatting of the size figure can be adjusted through the MediaWiki:Rc-change-size message.

[edit] Favicon

I have created a simple 'favicon' to replace the standard icon that appears in the URL bar to the left of our wiki's URL, and in any links to our wiki that you have dragged onto the links bar just below the URL bar.

File:Favicon.ico

It is a simple image of a red building surrounded by a red wall. It is not meant to be a permanent feature, but rather just something a bit more interesting to replace the standard icon while I wait for someone to design something better. If you come up with a better design for our wiki, then fling it up. Delete the current file if you like.

You can find the web page that I used to create the icon (an online javascript application that allows you to create favicons and save them to your computer) at the following address:

Note, the colour palette limits you to a certain number of colours, but you can change the actual colours by entering your own hex values. There is a link to a large colour chart in the 'Wiki Editing' section.

[edit] Title Page Image

I am keeping this here for the time being until the front page revamp over Christmas.
